British free climbers Julian Lines, 49-left, and Mike Robertson, 58, up the rope set up two static lines like this one for the team to move up into Mount Lico’s isolated mountaintop forest. Here LInes is holding the safety rope for Robertson as he takes a backpack full of gear up the rope for the scientists. Lines and Robertson climbed Mount Lico in Mozambique’s Zambezia Province using traditional (trad) climbing, then secured these lines at the top for the team.
